The reporters pestered with questions about her resemblance to pop icon Shakira, and she politely said that she can only dream of comparisons. She says, “I can only dream of such comparisons. To be very frank, I drew inspiration from her. If my dance in the song ‘Shiela Ki Jawani’ reminds the viewers of Shakira, it is a huge reward for me.” She is currently in Kolkatta promoting Tees Maar Khan.
She is praising director Farah Khan and gave her all the credit for the huge success of this song. She added, “We have worked hard for this song. But the credit goes to Farah Khan and her conceptualization of the song. She is a brilliant choreographer.”
Tees Maar Khan is directed by Farah Khan and is set to release on December 24. It is already hitting the headlines for this new item song ‘Shiela Ki Jawani’, which features Katrina.
When asked Katrina about her role in the movie she says, “My role is of an aspiring actress, she is not very aggressive as it looked in the song. She is very naïve and sweet. She is the girlfriend of Akshay in this film. She gets herself into trouble because of her own stupidity. Its’ a fun character.”
This complete movie revolves around Tarbez Mirza Khan, who is a criminal played by Akshay Kumar. His girlfriend Anya played by Katrina gets a new job of robbing antiques worth Rs. 500 crore from a huge guarded environment. This film is an action comedy.
Katrina Kaif, Barbara Mori
My Brother’s Wife theme is adulterous, which deals with a women’s affair with her husband’s brother. However, Yash Raj Films has toned down the same version. Yash Raj has made a film on a guy (Imran) who falls for his brother’s (Ali Zafar) fiancé (Katrina). Mere Brother ki Dulhan is still under production, while Barbara’s movie is set to release in India soon.
An industry insider says, “YRF does not consider Barbara’s film has a threat for their project. They feel its release will not affect the Katrina-Imran starrer, because YRF has given a more romantic tone than an adult one. Even though the basic premise is similar, the treatment will be different.”
The distributors have considered the similarity in the title between Mere Brother ki Dulhan and My Brother’s Wife, the distributors have decided to name Mori’s film A Beautiful Wife. Dhaval Gada from Pen India is distributing this film and says, “We heard about the film Mere Brother ki Dulhan. The title did make us think that the theme of their film maybe similar to out movie, Spanish Beauty. However, we do not know their script or storyline. Anyway, we have tweaked the original story of Spanish Beauty to suit the Indian taste and the film will now reflect the triangular relationship between a husband, wife and the husband’s brother.”
When asked the spokesperson of YRF he denied of any similarities between both the movies. He says, “It is not true. There is no similarity between the two stories whatsoever.”

An industry source revealed, “On Monday, an article in a morninger carried quotes from a very old interview of Kat, in which she had spoken about her closeness with Salman. This did upset the actress, who is trying very hard to maintain a professional relation with her ex.”
The actress made a few calls to her higher-ups in the industry and said that she wanted to clear the air about Salman. The following day she gave an interview where she admitted of her split with Salman and it was flashed on the front page of the tabloid under the title: For the first time.
So, now the question comes: Why did Katrina finally come clean about Salman? An insider says, “That interview made matters embarrassing for her. She is dating Ranbir now, and the Kapoor Khandaan have welcomed her into their fold. How would she explain an interview about Salman being a ‘4 am friend’?”
Her confession about her break-up was a face-saving attempt.
A close source to the actress added, “When Kat read an article about Salman and her closeness, she was very upset. She does not want to send out the wrong signals to Ranbir or his family. She is not with Sallu anymore. Though Salman and Kat broke up long ago, they continue to be friends. She appreciates all that he has done for her, and they will always be there for one another. After the latest being human show he even asked her to party with his friends, but she denied it as she had an early morning flight. Though Kat and Salman are still in touch with one another, but they are no more romantically involved and she does not want to give a wrong impression to anyone.”

Manoj Tiwari confirmed this incident and said, “It was quite funny, Katrina was excited about it, so the three of us coached her to address the crowd with ‘Ka Haal ba Patna’. She diligently wrote it down on paper and mugged it. However, instead of saying ‘Haal ba’ she kept on repeating ‘Halba’ which sounded like ‘Halwa’. Bajpai and Ravi kept pulling her leg. We all were impressed with Katrina’s determination.

On Wednesday, Dips was busy with a magazine photo shoot in the Mehboob Studio open area. An eyewitness who was watching all this says, “Deepika had come with Farhan Akhtar for her photo shoot. Somewhere around late afternoon, Deepika was giving her solo shots in the garden area of the studio. While Deepika was doing her last minute touch-up, there was pin drop silence and all eyes swiveled to the entrance. It was Katrina Kaif, who had accidentally walked in, thinking it was the venue where she was called for the shoot. She was dressed in a short white skirt and a pink tee, Katrnia walked in and froze for a second. Deepika, who was standing some distance away, saw her. Both had a few seconds of eye contact, and Katrina immediately took a U-turn and walked away.”
It was not surprising at all considering their history. A close source revealed, “Although Ranbir and Deepika are not seeing each other anymore, the latter still has issues with Katrina. It was the growing friendship between Katrina and Ranbir which marked an end to her relationship.” When asked Katrina and Deepika about this incident they were both unavailable for the comment.

There were rumors last year about their alleged closeness. However, at that time both of them were happy in their relationships. Now, they are single and reviving their love for each other without any guilt. Some of the close friends of Ranbir and Katrina disclosed they are more than friends and now it has become very difficult to hide their love for each other.
Ranbir and Katrina started meeting each other, and started exchanging love messages and phone calls the moment Ranbir’s break-up news was out in the public. Katrina Kaif claims that she is just good friends with Salman, and they have moved on in their respective life. However, Ranbir is madly in love with Katrina and does not want to hide his feelings for her.
A close source of Ranbir revealed that he has been much tensed about Katrina’s illness. He keeps on calling her just to make sure, if she is ok, he also advices her to take rest and slow down the work. He has also assured Katrina’s family in London that he will be taking care of her. Katrina pays a regular visit to the Kapoor house. Since, Ranbir is very close to his mom and wants her approval for his love. Therefore, Kat’s is trying her best to get their relationship approved from her. The biggest proof of their love affair is a heart shaped diamond pendant Ranbir gifted her. Close friends of the couple confirmed that they are going to make their relation official soon.

Ratan Jain, producer of the film, said, “For most of the filmmakers of Bollywood, this is a dream team. The Hera Pheri combo is back to entertain after a gap of nine years. Of course, as a bonus, there is the hit jodi of Akshay and Katrina who have a magical romantic track in the film.”
Jain is happy with his productions house’s long association with Priyadarshan having produced films- Hungama, Hulchul, Garam Masala earlier. De Dana Dan’s cast includes 26 top comic actors from the industry. However, Katrina who recently played a comic role in Ajab Prem Ki Ghajb Kahani is excited about this film too.

A source said, “Katrina fell in love with the film after she saw it. In fact, she wanted to make the film the very moment she saw it. The actress has already spoken to the concerned people and will acquire the rights of the film soon.â€
Katrina is aiming Vipul Shah to direct the film. “The film is filled with emotions and Katrina strongly believes that Vipul will be able to translate it onto the big screen. The film is a love story about a young artist who sees the world through rose-tinted glasses, especially when it comes to her love,” added the source.
Other cast of the fill is not yet decided, however shooting for the film will start next year. When asked to Katrina, she denied the news, but a source close to her says that it’s true.

She has been linked up with many actors and the latest one was to Ranbir Kapoor from Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani. Recently when asked to the actress about it, she said, “It’s just getting too much. You are linked to every actor you are working with. That happens for every movie these days and one just has to stop reacting to it.”
Katz has her own fundas at work. And guess what? This might be the reason that the actress is one of the top actresses in Bollywood today.

Mausam is the directorial debut of Pankaj Kapoor and Shasha (Shahid) will play the male lead in it. While for the female lead, the son actor recommended Katrina’s name, but the father actor is not so keen to do so. Revealing the situation, a source said, “After working with A-list actresses such as Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Vidya Balan, Katrina Kaif is the next actress on Shahid’s wish list. He thinks Katrina is extremely talented and would love to work with her in a film. His father’s movie is a love story and Shasha (Shahid) finds Katrina apt for the role.”
“He has spoken to his dad Pankaj recommending Katrina for the film. But, Pankaj is keen to cast a young fresh face for the film. A nationwide hunt is on for the film,” added the source.
When asked to Pankaj Kapoor, he said, “I am still in the scripting process. My daughter is looking into the casting. Only once I am done with the script, will I be able to take the final call for the female lead.”
Shooting for the film will start in January next year.
