US must keep working with Pakistan: Clinton |
Updated at: 1351 PST, Thursday, May 05, 2011 ROME: The United States and its allies must keep working with Pakistan to fight Al Qaeda after the death of Osama bin Laden, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Thursday. Speaking ahead of a meeting in Rome on Libya, Clinton said the US relationship with Pakistan was not always easy but that Washington would continue to support the Pakistani people and democracy. She said Bin Laden had been a clear target for the United States for almost 10 years but that his death did not end the battle against Al Qaeda. (Reuters) |
