At least five members of a Pakistani family have been killed and another one of them wounded in a bomb blast in the northwest of the country.
The explosion took place in the Zaka Khel village in the Tirah valley of the Khyber Agency early Friday, a Press TV correspondent reported.
In a bombing attack on Thursday, at least four policemen and a child were killed and 21 others injured in the city of Peshawar also in northwestern Pakistan.
Authorities in Pakistan blame the explosions on the Taliban in neighboring Afghanistan and militants with links to al-Qaeda.
Despite an offensive by the Pakistani government against the pro-Taliban militants, they have spread their influence in various regions, killing people and security forces on an almost daily basis.
Since late 2009, there has been a surge in the bomb attacks carried out by militants in Pakistan.
Thousands of Pakistanis have been killed since the former military ruler Pervez Musharraf joined the so-called US-led war on terror, which Washington has been waging since the attacks on New York and Washington on September 11, 2001.
